Mike's Bean Recipe

lb
dry Pinto beans
2
medium white onions, chopped
1 or 2
fresh jalapeno peppers, chopped
2
ham hocks
1
tbsp
MSG
2
tbsp
chili powder
1
bunch
fresh cilantro (dice tops only)
salt to taste
red pepper to taste
Rinse beans and place in large pot; cover with about 4 inches of water
Bring to a boil
Add remaining ingredients with exception of salt
Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer on low heat
Stir occasionally, keeping an eye on the liquid -- add water if needed
Cook for about 2 hours or until beans are tender.
These beans are even better the next day
