Layer cucumbers, red (or green) bell pepper and onion in a glass bowl. Mix salt, vinegar, sugar and celery seeds in another bowl. Pour over the vegetables; do not stir. Chill for 2 hours. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Pack into pint jars. Store in the refrigerator.
