I tried a similar recipe and thought they were delicious. You can make them ahead of time and put them in the oven for about 30 minutes until heated through.
4 | Lbs. | Baking potatoes, peeled and quartered |
1 | Pkg. (8 oz.) | Cream cheese, room temperature |
1 | 8 oz. container | Sour cream |
1 1/2 | Tsp. | Garlic Salt |
1/2 | Tsp. | Onion Salt |
1/4 | Tsp. | Pepper |
1 | Cup | Shredded cheddar cheese |
Melted butter and chopped | ||
fresh parsley, optional |
Place potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat cover and simmer until tender (about 20 to 25 minutes). Drain well. Add cream cheese, sour cream, butter, garlic salt, onion salt and pepper. Mash with electric mixer until smooth. Place potato mixture into a buttered casserole dish. Drizzle top with additional melted butter, parsley and cheese. Bake at 350 degrees until heated through.
