Puget Sound Chowder


From the Kitchen of:  H@ppy - Carol Mahnke

  • Sautè bacon in butter, onion, celery and garlic 4 minutes or until crisp.
  • Add 2 cups liquid (broth plus water if necessary) and simmer 15 minutes.
  • Add fish and simmer 5 minutes.
  • Add half and half, mussels, crab and white fish cut in small pieces. Simmer gently 5 minutes (Do NOT Boil). Season with seasonings.

    Steam until open. Remove from shells. Reserve liquid for soup.
