3 | C. | Red Kidney Beans (small) (uncooked) |
3 | lbs. | Ground Beef |
2 | med. | Onions, chopped |
2 | 16 oz. | cans Tomatoes |
2 | 6 oz. | cans tomato paste |
4 | Tbsp. | Hot Chili Powder |
1 | Tbsp. | Hot Pepper Flakes |
1 | Tbsp. | Oregano |
2 | Tbsp. | Sugar |
1 | Tbsp. | Cumen |
1 | Tbsp. | Garlic Powder |
1 | tsp. | Black Pepper |
1 | tsp. | Cayenne Pepper |
1 | Tbsp. | Salt |
2 | Bay leaves | |
1 | tsp. | Accent |
1 | tsp. | Paprika |
Soak beans overnight and use same water. Add salt, sugar, spices to the beans that have been soaked. Add enough water to 3 inches over beans.
Run tomatoes through blender or food processer until pulp is chopped fine.
Saute hamburger and onions together until done. Drain, keeping 1/2 cup of juices. Add to bean mixture. Cook 4 hours over medium low heat, stirring frequently. You may have to add a little water toward the end of cooking.
