If possible cook the day before. Simple and fast recipe. Goes long ways.
1 | lb. | Dry pinto beans |
2 | lbs. | Hamburger |
1 | Medium onion | |
3 | cloves | Crushed garlic (depends on how much you like garlic) |
1 | can | Corn, drained |
6 | oz. | Tomato sauce |
8 | oz. | Hunts special tomato sauce |
Using large skillet/dutch oven fry hamburger, onion and garlic to taste. Add tomato sauces and corn and simmer covered for 15 to 30 minutes (the longer the better). Add to beans, stir well and simmer till beans are hot. If more liquid is needed add water.
Variations: Add any vegetables you like. Hot sauces are good. Hot corn bread sets the whole thing off.
