all-purpose flower

hot milk

hot light cream

Chablis (dry white wine)
Melt butter in 3-quart saucepan over low heat. Stir in onion powder, Bon Appétit, and white pepper and mix well. Stir in flour and cook, stirring 2 minutes. Do not brown.
Remove from heat and gradually stir in hot milk, cream, and Chablis.
Return to heat and heat to low boil, stirring constantly.
