Strawberry-Blueberry Sauce
From the Kitchen of:

Serve over slices of Angel Food Cake-serves 10-12

Baskets Strawberries, hulled

12oz
Basket blueberries-can substitute 12 oz frozen berries

Sugar

Tbsp.
fresh Lemon Juice
1/4
C.
Amaretto Liquor
Place half of the strawberries in a medium bowl. Crush with fork or potato masher.
Slice the remaining strawberries and add to the bowl.
Add half the blueberries to the same bowl.
Place the remaining blueberries in a medium saucepan and crush, add the sugar and lemon juice.
Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the juices become syrupy, about 4 minutes. Cool.
Add to the strawberry mixture.
Stir in the Amaretto. Let stand 20 minutes.
