Mexican BBQ Sauce
From the Kitchen of: Megs
1/3 | C. | light or dark Corn Syrup |
1/3 | C. | Strong Coffee |
1/4 | C. | Ketchup |
1/4 | C. | Cider Vinegar |
1/4 | C. | Worcestershire Sauce |
4-6 | tsp. | Chili Powder |
1 | Tbsp. | Corn Oil |
2 | tsp. | Dry Mustard |
1/2 | tsp. | Salt |
1/8 | tsp. | Hot Pepper Sauce |
In 1 quart saucepan, stir together corn syrup, coffee, ketchup,
vinegar, worcestershire sauce, chili powder, corn oil, mustard, salt
and hot pepper sauce. Stirring frequently, bring to a boil over
medium-high heat and boil 5 minutes.
Brush on chicken, pork chops, spareribs or steak during last
20 minutes of grilling, turning and basting frequently with sauce.
Makes about 1 1/2 cups of sauce.
