Cranberry-Orange Sauce for Ham (diabetic)
From the Kitchen of: Pepper
Source: From the back of a Brown SugarTwin box
Comments: This sauce can be made with regular brown sugar but then it wouldn't be diabetic.
1/4 | cup | Brown Sugartwin |
2 | tablespoons | cornstarch |
1/8 | teaspoon | salt |
1 | cup | unsweetened orange juice |
1 | cup | cranberry juice cocktail |
1/2 | cup | seedless raisins |
- Mix Brown SugarTwin, cornstarch and salt together in a saucepan. Add the orange juice, cranberry juice and raisins. Cook over medium heat until mixture thickens, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
- Stud ham slice (fat only) with whole cloves, if desired. Pour half of sauce over ham slice. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 minutes or until glazed. Serve remaining sauce with ham.
