Cinnamon Rum Sauce
From the Kitchen of: Boomer
Saw them making this sauce on a TV program and sure looked good.
(goes great over apple dumplings)
1 | C | Brown sugar, packed |
1 | Tbl. | Corn Starch |
1 | C | boiling water |
2 | | cinnamon sticks |
1 | Tbl. | butter, softened |
2 | Tbl. | rum |
- Mix the sugar and corn starch together
- Put in a sauce pan and add 1 cup of boiling water. Wisk and boil
for a couple of minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add a couple cinnamon sticks, 1 Tbsp. of softened butter and 2 Tbsp.
of rum. Whisk together and heat til good and hot.
- Spoon over apple dumplings, or apple pie.
