Chocolate Carmel Sauce

30 caramels - unwrapped into a micro proof bowl
1 cup (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate pieces
1 can (5 ounces) evaporated milk
1/2 cup butter - do not substitute margarine
Unwrap the caramels. Combine all ingrediants in micro wave proof (1 quart at least) container. Microwave on high for 2 minutes.
Remove and stir. Continue to microwave at one minute intervals string in between until mixture is smooth.
Serve over ice cream, cake, or dip strawberries cookies. Refrigerate leftovers.
