In 1 quart glass container, place butter and sugar. Microwave on High 2-2 1/2 minutes, stirring once during cooking until butter and sugar are melted and mixture is bubbling.
Remove from oven and stir in cream. Microwave on High 2-3 minutes until mixture is bubbling rapidly; stir. If desired, stir in pecans.
Will keep in refrigerate about 3 days. Re-heat, uncovered, on High 1-1 1/2 minutes.
