1Small bunchBroccoli (about 1 lb.) | ||
1Small headCauliflower | ||
Water | ||
2Green onions, sliced | ||
1Hard-boiled egg, chopped | ||
1/4cupChopped celery | ||
1/4 cupSliced stuffed green olives | ||
1/2cupMayonnaise or salad dresing | ||
2 tspLemon juice | ||
1/2 tspDill weed |
Conventional: Place in saucepan with small amount of water; cover, bring to boil on high. Reduce heat to simmer and cook about 4 minutes or until tender-crisp. Drain and chill.
Yield: 4 to 6 servings.
Note: For either cooking method you can reduce temperature quickly by rinsing briefly with cold water after cooking.
