Southern Pecan Pie

| 1 | cup | White Karo syrup |
| 3/4 | cup | Sugar |
| 3 | large | Eggs |
| 2 | Tbsp | Butter, melted |
| 1 | cup | Pecans, coarsely chopped |
| 4 | Tbsp | Orange juice |
| 4 | Tbsp | Orange rind, grated |
| 1 | 8-inch | Unbaked pie crust |
| | | Whipped cream |
| | | |
- Beat eggs slightly, add sugar, syrup, juice and rind. Stir in butter.
- Spread pecans over pie shell and pour filling over them.
- Bake for approximately 45 minutes in a 350º oven.
- Serve topped with whipped cream.
