9-inch pie shell

chopped nuts, walnuts or pecans
In a large bowl, combine the first four ingredients. Let
stand 15 minutes. Stir and pour into pie shell; sprinkle
with nuts.
Bake at 425 degreesē for 15 minutes and then
reduce heat to 350 and bake until apples are tender,
approximately 40 minutes. Cover edges of crust with foil
for the last 15 minutes of baking if necessary.
