Blue Ribbon Apple Crumb Pie

This recipe won a Blue Ribbon at the Lititz, Pennsylvania Apple Festival in 1994.

4 | | Johnathan apples |
1/2 | cup | Sugar |
1 | tsp | Cinnamon |
1 | recipe | Plain pastry |
Cut apples in 1/8 slices and arrange in a pastry lined pan. Mix the 1/2 cup of sugar with the cinnamon. Sprinkle over the apples.
Crumb Topping:

1/2 | cup | Sugar |
3/4 | cup | Flour |
1/3 | cup | Butter |
- Mix all together until crumbly. Put on top of the apples.
- Bake at 400º for 40-50 minutes.
