Yellow Rice with Raisins

Sugar

tsp.
Tumeric (or a few drops yellow food coloring
1
Tbsp.
Salt
1
Tbsp.
Butter
1
stick
Cinnamon or 1 tsp. ground
1
c.
Raisins
1
tsp.
Lemon Rind
2
C.
White Rice
In a 3 quart saucepan bring 6 cups of water to a boil.
Add sugar, tumeric, salt, butter, cinnamon, raisins and lemon rind
Bring to rapid bowl.
Add the white rice.
Cover and cook for 20 minutes or until rice is tender and all the water is absorbed.
