TOASTED HERB RICE

1 | cup | long grain rice |
2 | tablespoons | butter or margarine |
1 | 10-ounce can | chicken broth |
3/4 | cup | boiling water |
4 | | green onions, chopped |
2 | tablespoons | soy sauce |
1 | teaspoon | tarragon |
- Preheat oven to 325°F.
- Place rice in a 2-quart casserole. Cover and roast for 20 minutes or until rice is toasted and golden brown. Remove from oven.
Add butter to rice; stir until melted.
Pour broth and boiling water over rice; stir. Cover
- Bake for 30 minutes or until rice is tender and has absorbed all the liquid.
- Add green onions, soy sauce, and tarragon; stir to combine.
(Yield: 4 servings)
