Macaroni and Cheese #1
16 | oz | Macaroni noodles |
6 | oz | Cubed cheese (block) |
1-1/2 | tbsp | Butter or margarine |
1-1/2 | tbsp | Flour |
1 | C | Skim milk |
| | Bread crumbs |
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cook macaroni according to package directions and drain well.
- Lightly grease a 2-quart casserole dish.
- Melt butter in a saucepan. Blend in flour with a wire whisk.
Gradually add milk, cooking at medium heat. Stirring constantly bring
sauce to a boil. Boil and stir for 1 minute.
- Reduce heat and melt cheese into sauce. When sauce is smooth, mix
sauce and macaroni into the casserole dish. Sprinkle bread crumbs on
top.
- Bake for 30 to 45 minutes, depending on desired crispiness.
