Homemade Dry Soup Mix
From the Kitchen of: Pepper
Use in casseroles and dishes using creamed condensed soups
.
1 | C | Nonfat dried milk powder |
1 | tbsp | Dried onion flakes |
2 | tbsp | Cornstarch |
2 | tbsp | Chicken bouillon powder |
1/2 | tsp. | Dried basil |
1/2 | tsp. | Dried thyme |
1/4 | tsp. | Black pepper |
- Mix well and store in airtight container.
- To make soup, just add 2 cups cold water and cook over medium heat,
stirring constantly, until it thickens.
- If soup is too thick, add a little more water.
- For cream of mushroom soup, add sliced mushrooms just before removing from
stove.
