Venison or Beef with Chicken or Rabbit Stew

From the Kitchen of: Maka

1	lb.	Venison Stew Meat or Beef Stew Meat
1		Chicken or Rabbit
		Celery,as desired
		Onion, as desired
3		chicken bouillon cubes
2		Bay Leaves
		Basil
		Potatoes, as desired
		Carrots, as desired
1		fresh Clove Garlic, finely chopped
1	Tbsp.	Butter
1	can	V-8 Juice

• In large pot boil chicken (rabbit), bouillon, celery, onion, basil and bay leaves until chicken is done. Remove chicken saving broth.
• Cut chicken (rabbit) into cubes and return to water
• In large frying pan, brown venison (beef), garlic and butter until done.
• Add all of contents of pan to chicken (rabbit) and broth.
• Add potatoes, carrots, and V-8 juice until pot is as full as possible.
• Simmer covered for about two hours. Keep adding V-8 as water evaporates
• Serves an army! This is a recipe that has been in my family for years - people can't get enough of it!! Tastes best with venison and rabbit but is also very good with beef and chicken.
