This is one of my favorite barbecue recipes
3-3 1/2 | lb. | pork spareribs, cut into 2-3 rib portions |
1 | Med. | Onion, cut into quarters |
1 | C. | Water |
1 | tsp. | Salt |
3/4 | C. | Butter or Margarine |
1/4 | C. | Vinegar |
1/2 | C. | fresh Lemon Juice |
2 | tsp. | all purpose Flour |
1 | tsp. | Cayenne Pepper |
1 | tsp. | Pepper |
2-3 | tsp. | Dry Mustard |
1 | clove, Garlic, minced | |
1/2 | tsp. | Sugar |
1/2 | tsp. | Salt |
1/4 | tsp. | Liquid Smoke |
In wok or Dutch oven combine ribs, onion, water and salt. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low setting. Simmer, covered 1 1/2 to 2 hours, or until ribs are tender.
Sauce
In small saucepan, melt butter. In small mixing bowl combine remaining ingredients. Stir mixture into melted butter. Heat on medium setting stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and just comes to a boil. Brush ribs with sauce. Place brushed-side down on grill. Grill ribs 10-20 minutes, or until browned. Turn frequently and brush with sauce. 2-4 servings.
