In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion, salt, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper; mix thoroughly. Shape into 6-3/4 inch thick patties.
In a shallow pie plate, combine Parmesan and corn flake crumbs.
Dip patties in egg, then in crumb mixture until well coated.
In a large skillet, brown patties on both sides. Drain off excess fat.
In a small bowl, combine tomato sauce and Italian seasoning; pour over patties. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Top each patty with a slice of cheese; cover and heat for 2 minutes or until cheese is melted.
