Italian Pork Chops


From the Kitchen of:  Pepper

  • In hot oil in large skillet, brown chops well on both sides.
  • Remove from skillet. Drain all but 1 tbsp. drippings from pan.
  • Add onion and garlic; saute until onion is tender.
  • Add tomatoes, salt, oregano, basil and pepper; mix well, mashing tomatoes with fork.
  • Place chops in skillet and arrange green peppers on top.
  • Simmer covered 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
  • Add mushrooms and simmer 5 minutes longer.
