In Texas, it is traditional that you serve these with pinto beans, potato salad, onion rings, Texas toast, cole slaw, onions, pickles, apricots, and wash it down with plenty of ice cold tea.
3-4 | lbs. | Country Style Pork Ribs or Spareribs |
1 | tsp. | salt |
1 | tsp. | pepper |
Mix the salt and pepper and rub on all surfaces of the ribs. Place ribs on a rack in a roasting pan, add water to the pan to almost touch rack. Place uncovered in a 450 degree oven for 30 minutes.

3 | Tbsp. | Lemon Juice |
1 | C. | Catsup |
2 | Tbsp. | Brown Sugar |
Coarsely ground Black Pepper |
Combine sauce ingredients in a saucepan and simmer 10 minutes. Place ribs over low coals and cook slowly 1 1/2 hours, basting frequently with sauce. Cook completely.
