When the meat cooks all alcohol is gone and only the flavor remains.
1-1/2 | lbs | ground chuck or sirloin |
3/4 | tsp. | salt |
1/2 | tsp. | ground pepper |
1/4 | tsp. | sugar |
1/4 | C | fresh chopped parsley |
1/4 | C | minced green onions |
2 | oz. | blue cheese cut into 4 thin slices |
2/3 | C | dry white wine |
4 | slices | bacon |
To make each serving, place 2 patties together, enclosing between them a thin slice oc cheese. Pinch edges to seal cheese in well.
Place hamburgers in a shallow pan and pour wine over. Chill for two hours. Encircle each hamburger with a bacon slice and secure with a toothpick. Remove from wine and broil over hot coals to doneness you wish.
