This is a recipe I learned from my Grandfather
6 | cups | potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced |
1 | medium onion, finely diced | |
1/3 | cup | flour |
1-1-2 | tsp | salt ONLY if using fresh clams |
1 | tsp | onion powder |
1/8 | tsp | pepper |
1 | cup | minced or chopped clams (reserve the nectar) |
1 | cup | milk |
1 | cup | clam nectar |
4 | slices diced and sautéed bacon (optional) |
