Ramekin Baked Eggs
From the Kitchen of: Kathleen
This recipe is for 4 people, but it is very easy to make as many servings as you need and
everyone will rave about the taste.
4 | 5" | ramekins |
4 | tbsp | butter |
8 | large | eggs |
1 | cup | half-and-half cream |
1 | tsp | salt |
1/2 | tsp | pepper |
8 | tsp | grated parmesan cheese |
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
- Spray the 4 ramekins and put in 1/2 tbsp butter. Break 2 eggs into each ramekin.
- Pour 1/4 cup of the cream into each ramekin (which will about cover the eggs).
- Sprinkle each dish with 1/4 tsp salt, 1/8th tsp pepper, 2 tsp grated cheese and dot with the
remaining butter.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 8 or 9 minutes, or until the egg yolks are done and the whites are
fully set if you are using regular eggs. Remember it is not safe to eat regular eggs which are
just partially cooked. (Note: if you want your eggs soft, you can use Eggland's Best or other
safe eggs).
- This recipe makes 4 servings.
- If you need more servings, just make as many as you need using the same proportions shown
above for each ramekin, i.e. 1/4th of the total ingredients in each of the individual ramekins.
If you prefer, this recipe can also be baked in a 9 x 9 x 2 baking dish, then sliced into 4 equal
servings.
