Try something new! This French toast is totally different and absolutely delicious.

1	8 oz pkg	cream cheese
1	can	pie filling (any flavor you like)
3	lg	eggs
2	tbsp	sour cream
2	tbsp	milk
1/4	tsp	pure vanilla (or 1/2 tsp extract)
12	slices	texas toast
		powdered sugar (optional)

• Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
• Combine cream cheese, pie filling and vanilla and mix well.
• Beat eggs in a bowl with sour cream and milk and set aside.
• Trim the crust from the bread. On six slices of the bread, spread on enough of the cream cheese mixture to completely fill the bread to the edges. Top with the remaining bread.
• Dip into the egg mixture and carefully fip over to coat other side, then place on a greased baking pan.
• Bake for 5 minutes and then turn and bake an additional 5 minutes or until golden brown.
• Remove from oven and spread any remaining cream cheese filling on top (sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired).
• Best if served while hot or very warm. Ham and scrambled eggs go well with this toast for breakfast or brunch.

• Serves 6
