Breakfast Patties

Comments: This homemade sausage is terrific because it's so lean, holds together well and shrinks very little when cooked. It's incredibly easy to mix up a batch and make any breakfast special.
1/4 | C | Water |
2 | tsp | Salt |
2 | tsp | Rubbed sage |
1 | tsp | Pepper |
1/2 | tsp | Ground nutmeg |
1/4 | tsp | Crushed red pepper flakes |
1/8 | tsp | Ground ginger |
2 | lbs | Ground pork |
- In a bowl combine water and seasonings. Add pork and mix well. Shape into eight 4-in. patties.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook patties for 5-6 minutes on each side or until no longer pink in the center.
Yield: 8 patties.
