This recipe was a mistake I made. Thought I was following Susan's recipe called "Bean Pot Medley" but not having it in front of me, I make a few changes (it seemed logical at the time). My crew loved it this way so I wrote it down quick.
6 | cans | beans, drained and rinsed (any combination red, pinto, navy, black, even pork & beans) (151/2 oz. cans) |
1 | lg. | onion, chopped |
1 | green bell pepper, chopped | |
1 | can | tomato sauce (medium size can) |
2 | cans | diced tomatoes (28 oz. each) |
1/2 | tsp. | Nature's Seasons |
1 | tsp. | Italian seasoning |
1/4 | tsp. | garlic powder |
Dump everything in the Crockery Pot. Stir gently just to mix. Cover and cook on low 4 to 5 hours. Good served as a side dish or as a meal. Adjust salt content after cooking time is done.
