2 | tsp. | chopped fresh oregano (1/2 tsp. if using dried) |

1 | can | whole tomatoes, undrained (16 oz.) |
1 | can | sliced water chestnuts, undrained (8 oz.) |
1 | pkg. | frozen mixed vegetables (10 oz.) |
Cook ground beef and onion in skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain. Mix beef mixture and remaining ingredients, except frozen mixed vegetables, and place in Crockery Pot; break up tomatoes or use diced tomatoes. Cover and cook on low 2 hours. Stir in mixed vegetables. Cover and cook on low 3 more hours or until barley is done.
