This is the result of using what is there in the kitchen.
1 | can | black beans, rinsed and drained (151/2 oz.) |
1 | can | red beans, rinsed and drained (151/2 oz.) |
1 | can | Great Northern beans, rinsed and drained (151/2 oz.) |
1 | can | black-eyed peas, rinsed and drained (151/2 oz.) |
1 | can | baby lima beans, rinsed and drained (81/2 oz.) |
11/2 | c. | ketchup |
11/2 | c. | onion, chopped |
1 | green bell pepper, chopped | |
1/2 | c. | brown sugar, packed |
1/2 | c. | water |
3 | tsp. | cider vinegar |
1 | tsp. | dry mustard |
2 | bay leaves | |
1/4 | tsp. | black pepper |
Combine all ingredients in Crockery Pot. Stir. Cover and cook on low for 6 or 7 hours or until onion and pepper is tender. Remove bay leaves and discard. Great side dish.
