This is the easiest 'homemade' dessert that I have found. My familyjust loves it and it is so much easier than serving Strawberry Shortcaketo a crowd.
1 | Round | Angel food cake OR |
2 | Bars | Angel food cake |
2 | Cans | Wilderness strawberry pie filling |
1 | Med. | Cool whip carton |
Tear angel food cake into small bits in a 13 x 9 inch pan. Pour pie fillingover torn-up cake and mix well. Spread evenly in pan. Cover with cool whipand chill for several hours or overnight. Cut into squares and serve.
NOTE: Cherry pie filling can be substituted.
