3 1/2 | Cups | All-purpose flour, sifted |

Preheat oven to 325°. Cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mix well; add salad oil and mix well. Add oats, cornflakes, coconut and nuts; stir well. Add flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Form into balls the size of a small walnut. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with a fork dipped in water. Bake 12 minutes. Allow to cool on cookie sheet for a few minutes. For extra sweetness, sprinkle the warm cookies with additional granulated sugar. Makes 8 dozen.
** May substitute nestle's crunch peices in place of the coconut and cook about two minutes less than recommended.
