These are wonderful served with cold lemonade.
1/2 | C | Butter |
1 | Egg, beaten | |
2 | C | Flour, sifted |
1/8 | Tsp. | Salt |
1/2 | C | Sugar |
1 | Tsp. | Almond extract |
1/2 | Tsp. | Baking powder |
1/4 | C | Poppy seeds |
Cream butter, sugar, egg and almond extract. Sift dry ingredients togetherand gradually add. Makes a heavy dough. Chill. Press through a cookiepress onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 12minutes. Watch!!! Should be pale tan, not browned.
