This recipe comes from the cookbook of the above title. I spent two years creating it from my parents restaurant in Columbia, California, Placerville, California and my Grandfather's recipe diary dated 1934-1935. Whenever I serve this recipe, people rave and ask for it.
1/2 | Lb. | Miniature marshmallows |
1/2 | Cup | Chopped nuts |
1/2 | Cup | Marachino cherry juice |
1/4 | Cup | Chopped pineapple (fresh or canned) |
1/4 | Cup | Chopped marachino cherries |
1/2 | Cup | Whipping cream |
Soak marshmallows overnight in cherry juice. Whip cream and add to marshmallow mixture with the chopped fruit and nuts. Chill several hours
