Holiday Pudding

Pudding |
2 | Cups | Fresh cranberries |
1 | Egg | |
1/3 | Cup | Hot water |
1 1/3 | Cups | Flour |
1/2 | Cup | Molasses |
1 | Tsp. | Baking soda |
2 | Tsps.(scant) | Baking powder |

Sift flour and baking powder together. Beat egg, molasses (add the teaspoon of baking soda to the
molasses before adding) and hot water. Add the flour and cranberries. Turn into an oiled pan and
steam 1 1/2 hours. Serve with sauce.
Sauce |
1/2 | Cup | Butter |
1 | Cup | Sugar |
1/2 | Cup | Cream |
Put all of the above in a double boiler and let come to a boil. Add a few drops
of vanilla. Serve warm over the cranberry pudding.
