Coconut Cream Cheese Cookies

1 | Cup | Butter flavored CRISCO

6 | Oz. | Cream cheese, softened |
1 | Cup | Granulated sugar |
1 | Tsp. | Almond extract |
1 | Tsp. | Vanilla extract |
1/4 | Tsp. | Salt |
1 | Large | Egg |
2 | Tbsps. | Milk |
2 | Cups | All-purpose flour |
1/2 | Cup | Flaked coconut, toasted |
Heat oven to 325°.
Combine shortening, cream cheese, sugar, almond & vanilla extract and salt in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed with electric mixer until well blended. Beat in egg and milk until well blended. Add flour and coconut; mix well.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls of dough about 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on cookie sheet for 4 minutes; transfer to cooling racks.
YIELD: 5 dozen
