Source: One of my aunts worked in food service for many years and has
several good recipes for large quantities. She passed along these general
guides and hints on preparing large quantities of food.
A #10 can weighs approximately 7 pounds.
5 to 6 9-in. x 13-in. pans will serve approximately 100 people as a side
dish.
6½ gallons = 100 8 oz. servings
8 gallons = 100 10 oz. servings
10 9-in. x
13-in. casseroles will serve approximately 100-120 people
