Mom's Sour Cream Cake

3 | C | Sugar |
1/4 | tsp | Soda |
1 | C | Sour cream |
1 | C | Butter |
6 | | Eggs, separated |
- Sift flour and measure; add soda and sift twice more. Cream the butter and sugar thoroughly. Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add cream, then flour and soda mixture.
- Beat egg whites until stiff and fold in.
- Bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours in a greased and floured 9 x 13 pan.
