SINGING CAKE

1 | cup | margarine |
1 | cup | strawberry jam |
2 | cups | brown sugar |
1 | cup | chopped pecans |
2 | teas | baking powder |
1 | cup | raisins |
1 | tsp. | grd cloves |
2 | teas | cinnamon |
4 | cups | flour |
1 | cup | buttermilk |
2 | Sq. | bitter chocolate, melted |
3 | | eggs, separated |
- Beat egg whites and set aside.
- Cream margarine and sugar. Add egg yolks and stir. add melted chocolate and stir.
- Add raisins, cinnamon, cloves and flour and mix well. Stir in nuts and jam. Add baking powder to buttermilk and quickly stir into cake mixture.
- Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Quickly pour into greased and floured bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees until cake stops singing--About 45 Minutes.
