Kentucky Bourbon Pecan Cake

1 | cup | butter |
2 | cups | sugar |
6 | | eggs |
3-1/2 | cups | sifted cake flour |
4 | teaspoons | baking powder |
2/3 | teaspoons | salt |
2 | teaspoons | nutmed |
1 | cup | bourbon |
3 | cups | seeded raisins |
4 | cups | pecan pieces |
1/2 | cup | cake flour, sifted |

- Cream butter, ad sugar gradually and cream until fluffy.
- Add egg yolks. Beat well.
- Sift dry ingredients together several times.
- Add alternately with Bourbon to creamed mixture.
- Drench raisins and nuts in the half cup flour and add to creamed mixture.
- Bake in loaf pans lined w ith buttered paper, 350 degrees for one hour.
- Cool ten minutes in pans.
- Turn out on wire rack and cover with icing and pecans.
