Heath Bar Frosting (revised)

This also good served warm as a topping for ice cream as well as using for a frosting. However, when served warm it will be very thin.
1/2 cup butter |
2 cups powdered sugar |
4 egg yolks |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
pinch of salt |
1/2 pint whipping cream |
5 Heath candy bars |

- Using electric mixer, cream butter and powdered sugar. Add egg yolks, vanilla and salt. Mix until well blended.
- Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, til thickened (about 10 minutes). Remove from heat and add 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter at room temperature. and stir til melted and well blended. Set aside to cool.
- Whip 1/2 pint of whipping cream until stiff.
- Fold into cooled creamed mixture, then add crushed Heath bars.
