George Washington's Cherry Tree Cake

This was in the Decatur Daily on the Kid's page approximately '89
| 2 | cups | flour |
| 2 | tea. | vanilla |
| 3/4 | cup | sugar |
| 1 | tea | baking soda |
| 3/4 | cup | vegetable oil |
| 1/2 | tea | cinnamon |
| 2 | | eggs |
| 1 | 6 oz. pkg. | chocolate chips |
| 1 | 21 oz can | cherry pie filling |
Combine all ingredients and pour into two greased and floured cake pans.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 min. You can frost if you like.
