heavy cream

all-purpose flour

sugar

unsweetened chocolate

butter

raisins or dates
1
cup
chopped pecans or walnuts
In a heavy saucepan, mix the cream, flour and sugar. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil for 1 minute, stirring, or until the mixture reaches 210 degrees on the candy thermometer.
Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate. Stir until chocolate is melted. Add the butter, raisins or dates and nuts. Spread over cake while it is still warm. Covers a 9-by 13-inch cake.
