Fluffy Custard Frosting
From the Kitchen of: Pepper
2 | tbl. | flour |
3/4 | cup | milk |
3/4 | cup | butter |
3/4 | cup | sugar |
1/8 | tsp. | salt |
1 | tsp. | vanilla |
- In a saucepan, add a small amount of milk to flour. Stir, making a smooth paste. Add remaining milk; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils and thickens. Cool.
- Cream butter, using medium speed of mixer.
- Gradually add sugar and salt; beat well.
- Add cooled milk mixture. Whip until light and fluffy.
- Add vanilla.
- Spread on cake.
