CREAM CHEESE POUND CAKE

  1. Sprinkle 1/2 cup pecans in a greased and floured tube pan; set aside.
  2. Cream butter and cream cheese; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Add flour and salt, stirring until combined.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract and remaining 1 cup pecans.
  6. Pour batter into prepared tube pan. Bake at 325° F. for 1 1/2 hours or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  7. Cool in pan 10 minutes; remove from pan and cool completely on a rack.
  8. Serves 10.
