Sour Cream Coffee Cake

1/2 | lb | Butter or margarine |
1 | C | Sugar |
3 | | Eggs |
3 | C | Flour |
1/2 | tsp | Baking soda |
4 | tsp | Baking powder |
1/2 | pint | Sour cream |
1 | tsp | Vanilla |
FILLING: | Mix Well | |
1 | C | Sugar |
4 | tsp | Cinnamon |
1 | C | Chopped nuts |
- Sift dry ingredients.
- Cream butter and sugar. Then add 1 egg at a time and mix well.
- Add dry ingredients, sour cream and vanilla. Mix all well.
- Flour and grease 9-10 inch tube pan. Place 1/2 batter in pan, then
1/2 filling mixture, then rest of batter and sprinkle rest of filling on
top.
- Take a spoon or spatula and cut through cake in all directions to
mix the layers together.
- Bake 55 minutes at 325 degrees (check after 45 minutes). Cool 10
minutes and then carefully turn out and cool.
